Plans change. This page sets out what you can expect if you need to alter or cancel a trip we have booked for you.
The fare decides
Each ticket comes with conditions written by the carrier. Some allow changes or refunds, usually with a charge; others allow neither. We point these out before you pay so there are no surprises later.
Second thoughts soon after booking
Certain carriers offer a short window – often 24 hours – in which a new booking can be cancelled without charge, typically for journeys touching the United States and booked well ahead of departure. If you think this applies, contact us as quickly as you can.
Moving dates or routes
Write to us with the change you need. The carrier may charge a change fee and the difference between the old and new fare. We confirm the full cost with you before anything is altered.
Getting money back
- Refundable tickets are refunded under the carrier’s rules and on the carrier’s timeline.
- If a carrier cancels your flight, you may be offered a refund or a free alternative. We will help you make the claim.
- Any service fee we charge is shown before booking and may not be returned once the ticket has been issued.
Timing
After a carrier approves a refund, it normally reaches the original card within a few weeks, depending on the carrier and your bank.
