Travelling with little ones does not have to be exhausting. Most of the stress comes from a few predictable moments, and a little planning for each of them makes the whole day smoother.
Before you leave home
- Choose flight times that fit around naps where you can
- Pack a separate bag with nappies, wipes and a full change of clothes
- Download shows and games in advance in case there is no in-flight entertainment
At the airport
- Arrive early so queues feel less rushed
- Ask whether a family lane is available at security
- Let children burn off energy in open areas before boarding
On board
- Offer a drink or snack during take-off and landing to help with ear pressure
- Bring a few small, new toys and reveal them one at a time
- Keep a light blanket handy, as cabins can feel cool
Seats and strollers
Airlines handle infant seats, strollers and bassinets in different ways, so confirm the rules for your fare before travel day. We are happy to check this for you when we book.
